The rooms

Casa Peroni has 12 beds divided into three welcoming rooms, furnished according to the principles of reuse economics. Thanks to a donation campaign within the Borghilenti project, we have recovered furniture and furnishings that, creatively restored, now color our hostel in Castelnuovo Bocca d’Adda. A sustainable choice to offer affordable and authentic accommodation to those travelling along the VENTO Cycle Route and the Adda Cycle Route.

Common areas

Icona corona bianca

Casa Peroni hostel welcomes its guests in a large ground floor space, designed as a covered extension of the square in front. On the first floor there is a large multipurpose room: a relaxation area where you can socialize and participate in cultural activities open to the public. Even in these common areas, the principles of the reuse economy characterize the environment with taste and creativity, offering a unique atmosphere to those seeking accommodation in the Lower Lodi area rich in history and conviviality.

Casa Peroni was founded in Castelnuovo Bocca d’Adda, right along the VENTO cycle path, as the heart of the Borghilenti project. Funded by the Ministry of Culture through the PNRR “Attractiveness of Villages” call for proposals, the hostel offers 12 beds in a strategic area of the Lower Lodi area. More than just housing, we are a model of local development that combines slow tourism and social inclusion: we activate job placement programs for people with disabilities, following the TWIN model developed by the Polytechnic University of Milan.

A story

Written by many hands

A village at the confluence of the Adda and Po rivers, on the border between the provinces of Lodi and Cremona, east of the Adda, and the regions of Lombardy and Emilia Romagna, south of the Po. The Municipality is engaged in regeneration projects to improve the quality of housing, create jobs, and strengthen community identity and cohesion.

SoSlab (Soil and Slowness Lab) is a research unit of the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies that has been involved for over fifteen years in the development of land regeneration projects related to slow mobility and river landscape.

Based in Codogno, since 1983 it has offered social-health and care services to people with disabilities. From 2025 it manages Casa Peroni, the first solidarity hostel located along the VENTO cycle route.
